WHAT IS E-EDUCATION?

E-Education is an abbreviation of Electronic Education, an electronic media-based education system, such as radio and television and now e-education is education that uses the Internet as its main media. E-education system allows to be accessed through various terminals in various places according to the mobility of access, so that is born mobile education (m-education).

WHY E-EDUCATION IS BETTER?

We live in a world where nearly everyone carries a connected device almost all of the time. Our workplaces rely on digital technology for success and there are more and more one-to-one schools every year. By learning using the same devices they use in their day-to-day lives and in their jobs, students and employees become more equipped for success in all aspects. In other words, elearning trains people using the tools and media that reflect society.

Money is always an issue in education and technology can help. Virtual field trips, electronic forms instead of paper, email instead of printed memo’s, virtual labs, electronic textbooks, and the thousands of free online resources can all save schools money and give students excellent educational experiences.

They can also create personal learning networks (PLN) with Ning, Twitter, and other resources to find and share ideas and resources, and get support from their colleagues.

Technology can give teachers and students great resources, new opportunities for learning, ways to collaborate and create, and save money. Technology is a very powerful tool for education.

1. Shorten the distance. Educational institutions can get closer to students where physical distance can be overcome by simply clicking on the site. Meanwhile, the bureaucracy between educators and students can be shortened, where students can directly send messages and conduct direct consultation via e-mail.

2. Expanding range. Learners can become widespread in comparison with traditional education systems that are location-limited.

3. Expansion of partner networks. Educational institutions can also expand network of partners. It is traditionally very difficult for an educational institution to build communication with an agency or company outside the city or even abroad. 4. Some subjects / courses may be difficult to realize in the form of eLearning

5. Learners should take the time to learn the software / eLearning application so that it can disrupt the learning load

6. Learners who are not familiar with the structure and software routines will be left behind from his classmates.
